STAFF REVIEW AND COMMENT: Foth Infrastructure and Environment, LLC has reviewed the
public improvements for NW 10th Street Crack & Seat Project, NW Douglas Parkway to 260th Street
and find that the work is in substantial accordance with the plans and specifications for the project.
RECOMMENDATION: Approve the resolution.

RESOLUTION 2025-
RESOLUTION ACCEPTING THE NW 10TH STREET - CRACK
& SEAT NW DOUGLAS PARKWAY TO 260TH STREET
WHEREAS, on the 6th day of May, 2024, the Mayor and Clerk of the City of Waukee,
Iowa, entered into a construction contract with Grimes Asphalt & Paving of Des Moines, IA, for
the construction of certain public improvements generally described as the NW 10th Street - Crack
& Seat NW Douglas Parkway to 260th Street; and
WHEREAS, the contractor has fully completed the construction of the public
improvements in accordance with the terms and conditions of the contract and plans and
specifications, as shown by the certificate of the Engineer filed with the Clerk on December 10,
2025:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WAUKEE, STATE OF IOWA:
Section 1.That the report of the Engineer be and the same is hereby approved and adopted,
and the public improvements are hereby approved and accepted as having been fully completed in
accordance with the plans, specifications and form of contract and the total final construction cost
thereof is hereby determined to be $1,558,194.58, as shown in the report of the Engineer.

We, Foth Infrastructure and Environment, LLC, hereby certify that we have made an on-site review
of the completed construction of the above reference project as performed by Grimes Asphalt and
Paving Corporation. We recommend City Council acceptance of the public improvements on
December 15, 2025.
As Construction Administrators for the project, it is our opinion that the work is in substantial
accordance with the plans and specifications and that the final amount of the contract is One Million
Five Hundred Fifty-Eight Thousand One Hundred and Ninety-Four and 58/100 Dollars
($1,558,194.58).
