HomeMy WebLinkAbout2025-12-15 I01G_01 Annexation, Hubbell Realty et al_Set PH AGENDA ITEM: CITY OF WAUKEE, IOWA CITY COUNCIL MEETING COMMUNICATION MEETING DATE: December 15, 2025 AGENDA ITEM: Consideration of approval of a motion setting January 19, 2026 as the date of public hearing on the annexation of consenting and non-consenting properties by the City of Waukee, Iowa with consideration of the annexation taking place immediately thereafter [Hubbell Realty Company / New Pioneer Gun Club / Jerome Aldrich] FORMAT: Motion SYNOPSIS INCLUDING PRO & CON: Staff has received voluntary annexation applications from Hubbell Realty Company and the New Pioneer Gun Club to annex approximately 100-acres of property located south of Westown Parkway and east of Ute Avenue. In addition to the property owned by Hubbell Realty Company and the New Pioneer Gun Club, approximately 0.75-acre property, owned by Jerome Aldrich (non-consenting), is being included as part of the annexation so that more uniform boundaries are created. The annexation would include approximately 101-acres. FISCAL IMPACT INCLUDING COST/BENEFIT ANALYSIS: COMMISSION/BOARD/COMMITTEE COMMENT: STAFF REVIEW AND COMMENT: Staff would recommend setting a public hearing date for January 19, 2026 to further discuss the annexation proposal.
