AGENDA ITEM:Consideration of approval of a resolution approving mayor’s
appointment of City of Waukee trustees and Technical Committee
representatives to the Central Iowa Water Works (CIWW) Board for
2026
FORMAT:Mayor’s Appointment and Resolution
SYNOPSIS INCLUDING PRO & CON: As a founding member of the CIWW, the City
of Waukee shall appoint a Primary and Alternate Trustee, as well as a
Technical Committee Representative and Alternate.

THE CITY OF WAUKEE, IOWA
RESOLUTION 2025-
APPROVING THE MAYOR’S APPOINTMENT OF CITY OF WAUKEE
TRUSTEES AND TECHNICAL COMMITTEE REPRESENTATIVES TO THE
CENTRAL IOWA WATER WORKS (CIWW) BOARD FOR 2026
IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE, IOWA
WHEREAS, the City of Waukee, Iowa is a duly organized municipality within Dallas
County; AND,
WHEREAS, according to the provisions of a 28E/28F agreement the City of Waukee
shall enter as a Founding Member of the Central Iowa Water Works (CIWW), the City
must annually appoint or reappoint Primary and Alternate Trustees, as well as Technical
Committee Primary and Alternate Representatives; AND,
WHEREAS, for calendar year 2026, Mayor Courtney Clarke appoints herself as Primary
Trustee and City Administrator Bradly M. Deets as Alternate Trustee to the CIWW
Board; AND,
WHEREAS, for calendar year 2026, Mayor Courtney Clarke appoints Public Works
Director/City Engineer Rudy Koester as the Primary Representative and Assistant Public
Works Director of Operations Tim Royer as the Alternate Representative to the CIWW
Technical Committee;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City of Waukee City Council in
session this 15th day of December, 2025, that it hereby approves the Mayor’s
appointments to the Central Iowa Water Works (CIWW) Board for 2026.
