AGENDA ITEM:Consideration of approval of Change Order No. 1 to Wendler, Inc., f/k/a
WRH, Inc., for the Lift Stations No. 4 & 6 Rehabilitation Project,
increasing the contract amount by $11,991.11.
FORMAT:Consent Agenda
SYNOPSIS INCLUDING PRO & CON: Change Order No. 1 is for replacing the existing
4-inch force main pipes between the wet well and valve manhole at Lift Station No. 4; the
original pipes were found to be severely corroded when the piping was exposed during
construction and two outdoor mounted stainless steel disconnects were installed at Lift Station
No. 4 as the original disconnects were found to be unusable.
FISCAL IMPACT INCLUDING COST/BENEFIT ANALYSIS: The net result of this
Change Order increases the contract price in the amount of $11,991.11.

LIFT STATION NOS. 4 & 6 REHABILITATION
CHANGE ORDER NO. 1
Enclosed are three copies of Change Order No. 1 for the Lift Station Nos. 4 & 6 Rehabilitation
project. Change Order No. 1 is for replacing the existing 4-inch force main pipes between the
wet well and valve manhole at Lift Station No. 4. The pipes were found to be severely corroded
when the piping was exposed during construction. Change Order No. 1 is also for providing two
outdoor mounted stainless steel disconnects to be installed at Lift Station No. 4. The existing
disconnects to be reused were found to be unusable. Change Order No. 1 increases the contract
price by $11,991.11.
Change Order No. 1 also extends the completion date of the project from November 21, 2025 to
April 30, 2026 due to conditions outside of the control of the contractor.
We recommend approval of Change Order No. 1 by the City Council of the City of Waukee.
Please sign all copies of Change Order No. 1 in the spaces provided. Return one signed copy of
Change Order No. 1 to our office and one signed copy to Wendler, Inc.
