SYNOPSIS INCLUDING PRO & CON: Absolute Group has completed the project and is requesting
release of retainage. Lien waivers have been received and all outstanding items have been completed.

RE: RELEASE OF RETAINED FUNDS
PRAIRIE ROSE TRAIL
Dear Sara:
Snyder & Associates and Waukee Public Works Staff have reviewed the project and find the
improvements to be complete and constructed in substantial conformance with the plans and
specifications. A resolution accepting the public improvements was approved at the November 3,
2025, Waukee City Council regular meeting. All punch-list items have been complete and the
prime contractor, Absolute Group of Granger, Iowa has provided waiver of lien documents for
each sub-contractor.
As such, we recommend payment of the final retained funds in the amount of $77,142.80 to
Absolute Group.
Please include an agenda item on the next available city council meeting to approve this
payment.
