RESOLUTION 2025-518
RECOGNIZING THE SERVICE OF CITY OF WAUKEE
COUNCIL MEMBER CHARLIE BOTTENBERG
IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE, IOWA
WHEREAS, the City of Waukee, Iowa, is a duly organized municipality within Dallas County; AND,
WHEREAS, Charlie Bottenberg has served as a Waukee City Council Member since February 2017;
AND,
WHEREAS, during his tenure, Charlie has played a vital leadership role in a period of tremendous
growth and progress in the community, including significant population increases, record -breaking
building permit and valuation statistics, and substantial city infrastructure improvements; AND,
WHEREAS, he has also helped guide the positive development of Waukee through active
participation in annual strategic planning and goal setting; AND,
WHEREAS, as a Waukee City Council Member, Charlie is most proud of Waukee's greatly expanded
greenspace preservation, stream mapping and stabilization; sustained investment in parks and leisure
opportunities; and a sustained reduction in the City property tax levy without a reduction in City
services; AND,
WHEREAS, Charlie's willingness to serve on the Waukee City Council and his commitment to the
betterment of Waukee for all its residents is an outstanding example of public service.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City of Waukee City Council in session this 15th
day of December, 2025, that its members hereby express their sincere appreciation and thanks to
Charlie Bottenberg for his years of dedicated service as a Waukee City Council Member.
