RESOLUTION 2026-006
APPROVING ADMINISTRATIVE SERVICES AGREEMENT
[MISSIONSQUARE RETIREMENT]
IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE, IOWA
WHEREAS, the City of Waukee, Iowa is a duly organized municipality within Dallas
County; AND,
WHEREAS, the City of Waukee sponsors employee retirement plans, including a 457(b)
deferred compensation plan and a 401(a) retirement plan, for the benefit of eligible City
employees; AND,
WHEREAS, the City has negotiated an Administrative Services Agreement with
MissionSquare Retirement to provide recordkeeping, administrative, and participant
support services for the City's 457(b) and 401(a) retirement plans; AND,
WHEREAS, the Administrative Services Agreement results in reduced administrative
and investment -related fees charged to participating employee retirement accounts,
thereby improving net retirement outcomes for City employees, AND,
WHEREAS, approval of the Administrative Services Agreement is in the best interest of
the City and its employees, supports employee recruitment and retention, and reflects
prudent stewardship of employee retirement assets; AND,
WHEREAS, the Administrative Services Agreement has an initial term of seven (7)
years with annual automatic renewals thereafter, subject to termination provisions
outlined in the Agreement; AND,
WHEREAS, the City Council finds it appropriate to authorize execution of the
Administrative Services Agreement and any related documents necessary to implement
the agreement.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City of Waukee City Council in
session this 5th day of January, 2026, that the Administrative Services Agreement
between the City of Waukee and MissionSquare Retirement is hereby approved.
