STAFF REVIEW AND COMMENT: Veenstra & Kimm has reviewed the public
improvements for the 2025 Pavement Patching Project and find it in substantial conformance
with the project plans and specifications.
RECOMMENDATION: Approve the resolution.

RESOLUTION 2026-
ACCEPTING PUBLIC IMPROVEMENTS
[2025 PAVEMENT PATCHING PROJECT ]
IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE, IOWA
WHEREAS, the City of Waukee, Iowa is a duly organized municipality within Dallas
County; AND,
WHEREAS, Howser Concrete Unlimited of Urbandale, Iowa has completed the public
improvements associated with the 2025 Pavement Patching Project; AND,
WHEREAS, Veenstra & Kimm, Inc. has reviewed the public improvements constructed
as part of the 2025 Pavement Patching Project and confirm that said improvements
constructed as a part of this project are in substantial conformance with the project
specifications.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City of Waukee City Council in
session this 2nd day of February, 2026, that it hereby accepts the public improvements
associated with 2025 Pavement Patching Project.

2025 PAVEMENT PATCHING
WAUKEE, IOWA
Veenstra & Kimm, Inc. hereby certifies that we have made an on-site review of
the completed construction of the 2025 PAVEMENT PATCHING project under the
Contract as performed by Howser Concrete Unlimited of Urbandale, Iowa and
the date of completion is hereby established as January 22, 2026.
As Engineers for the project, it is our opinion that the work performed is in
substantial accordance with the plans and specifications, and that the final
amount of the contract is Two Hundred Four Thousand Nine Hundred Nine and
48/100 Dollars ($204,909.48).
