AGENDA ITEM:Consideration of approval of receipt and file of the purchase of one (1)
2026 Chevrolet Traverse from Karl Chevrolet, included in the FY26
approved budget and via State contract pricing, in the amount of
$38,979.78. [Waukee Police Department].
FORMAT:Consent Agenda
SYNOPSIS INCLUDING PRO & CON: The Waukee Police Department regularly rotates
police vehicles based on use, age, and mileage to keep our fleet
operational, maintenance costs lower, and resale value higher. The FY26
approved budget includes funding for one (1) investigations replacement
vehicle. This cost is for the actual vehicle, additional costs for
equipment installation are also funded within the approved FY26 budget.
FISCAL IMPACT INCLUDING COST/BENEFIT ANALYSIS:
The Waukee Police Department regularly rotates vehicles based on a long-term rotation schedule
to ensure our vehicles are rotated out shortly before the end of life and the schedule helps budget
these costs over time. The FY26 approved budget includes funding for one (1) replacement
investigations vehicle. This vehicle replaces a 2015 Ford Taurus (PD 202) with over 104,000
miles on it. The Ford Taurus will be auctioned off as part of this rotation.

The vehicle is not being purchased for export or resale
and allows a refund from the customer of any GM
moneys paid should that customer resell or export a
GM vehicle without the deale/s
Government Sales / Comm Fleet
We agree that: (1) transactions where multiple cars
are purchased by a single purchaser and payment is
delayed ("Bulk Deferred Transactons") are not ordinary
course transactions; (2) the Dealership's lender, Ally
Bank (along with its affiliates, ("Lender")), has not
authorized the Dealership to sell or othenrise dispose
of (and has not consented to the sale or other
disposition of) vehicles in Bulk Deferred Transactions
free ol its security interest in the vehicles; (B) the
purchase of vehicles in Bulk Deferred Tiansactions
free of the security interest of Lender would violate the
terms of the Dealership's financing documents with
Lender and the rights of Lender would violate the
terms of the Dealership's financing documents with
Lender and the rights of Lender in the vehicles; (4) the
Purchaser is not a "buyer in ordinary course of
business" as defined in the Uniform Commercial
Code; and (5) accordingly, the sale of vehicles by the
Dealership to the Purchaser in Bulk Def6rred
Transactions will not extinguish Lender's security
interest in the vehicles. Lender's security interest in i
vehicle will automactically extinguish when payment is
made for that vehicle. This provision may only be
changed by written notice from Lender.
