AGENDA ITEM: Consideration of approval of a resolution amending certain addresses for Lot
16 and Lot 17 of Edgeland Waukee Plat 1 within the City of Waukee
FORMAT: Resolution
SYNOPSIS INCLUDING PRO & CON: A scrivener’s error has been found regarding the addresses
assigned to Lot 16 and Lot 17 in Edgeland Waukee Plat 1. The addresses
listed on the recorded final plat do not match the assigned addresses that were
given to the surveyor who prepared the final plat. Changing the address for
Lots 16 and 17 will correct the errors. Edgeland Waukee Plat 1 is a townhome
development that is currently under construction.
FISCAL IMPACT INCLUDING COST/BENEFIT ANALYSIS:

STAFF REVIEW AND COMMENT: The requested change in addresses still fit within the confines
of the addressing grid and staff does not have any major concerns with the
proposed changes. Upon approval of the City Council, the address changes
would be recorded with the County and all records including E911 databases
would be updated with the new address.
RECOMMENDATION: Approve the resolution.

RESOLUTION 2026-
APPROVAL OF AMENDING CERTAIN ADDRESSES FOR LOT 16 AND LOT
17 OF EDGELAND WAUKEE PLAT 1
IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE, IOWA
WHEREAS, the City of Waukee, Dallas County, State of Iowa, is a duly organized
Municipal Organization; AND,
WHEREAS, the City of Waukee approved the final plat for Edgeland Waukee Plat 1 on
February 18, 2025, and recorded said final plat with the Dallas County Recorder; AND,
WHEREAS, it has been determined that there was a scriveners error related to Lot 16
and Lot 17 of Edgeland Waukee Plat 1; AND,
WHEREAS, staff recommends changing the following local addresses as follows:

1228457017 181 NW Caspian Court 165 NW Caspian Court
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Waukee,
Iowa in session this 16th day of March, 2026, that the local addresses as referenced above
are amended. A copy of this resolution shall be filed on record with the Recorders Office
of Dallas County, Iowa.
