RESOLUTION 2026-110
RESOLUTION ADOPTING PROCUREMENT POLICY FOR SUSTAINABILITY
IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE, IOWA
WHEREAS, the City of Waukee, Iowa is a duly organized municipality within Dallas
County; AND,
WHEREAS, the City of Waukee adopted a sustainability plan for internal city services
in November 2023; AND,
WHEREAS, one of the recommendations was to adopt a procurement policy that
supports sustainable goals; AND,
WHEREAS, for items that qualify as capital purchases ($10,000 or greater), staff would
research sustainable options and evaluate if they are operationally viable and calculate the
return on investment; AND,
WHEREAS, Administration, Finance, and the operational department would evaluate
the data and recommend the purchase if appropriate.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City of Waukee City Council in
session this 16th day of March 2026, that the procurement policy for sustainability is
adopted.
