RECOMMENDATION: Approve the resolution. ATTACHMENTS: I. Resolution PREPARED BY:Lisa Bauman REVIEWED BY:Rudy Koester RK H2A RESOLUTION 2026- RESOLUTION ADOPTING PLANS, SPECIFICATIONS, FORM OF CONTRACT, ESTIMATE OF COST AND ENHANCEMENT OF PAYMENT FOR THE 10TH STREET EXTENSION WHEREAS, on the 17th day of February, 2026, plans, specifications, form of contract, estimate of cost and enhancement of payment were filed with the Clerk for the construction of certain public improvements described in general as the 10th Street Extension; and WHEREAS, notice of hearing on plans, specifications, form of contract, estimate of cost and enhancement of payment for the public improvements was published as required by law. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE, STATE OF IOWA: Section 1.That the plans, specifications, form of contract, estimate of cost and enhancement of payment are hereby approved as the plans, specifications, form of contract, estimate of cost and enhancement of payment for the public improvements, as described in the preamble of this Resolution. Section 2.That a “No Excuse Roadway Completion Enhancement Payment” in the amount of One Hundred Thousand Dollars ($100,000) is hereby approved as part of the form of contract if the items included in the August 13, 2027 interim completion date are completed by August 13, 2027. Said payment was included in the notice to bidders, is competitively neutral to potential bidders, and the total value of the payment does not exceed ten percent of the value of the contract.
