THE CITY OF WAUKEE, IOWA
RESOLUTION 2026-
APPROVING THE VACATION OF A PUBLIC STORM WATER DETENTION
EASEMENT
IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE, IOWA
WHEREAS, the City of Waukee, Dallas County, State of Iowa, is a duly organized Municipal
Organization; AND,
WHEREAS, the City has previously approved a Public Storm Water Detention Easement
Easement which exists by virtue of the plat, Parkside Proper Plat 1, filed on March 1, 2023, and
recorded in Book 2023, Page 2519, and the easement document filed on March 1, 2023, recorded
in Book 2023, Page 2524 (the “Easement”); AND,
WHEREAS, it has been determined that the Easement areas as described on attached Exhibit A
are longer needed; AND,
WHEREAS, the property owner has requested that the Easement areas as described in attached
Exhibit A be vacated.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City of Waukee City Council in session this
18th day of May, 2026, that it hereby approves the vacation of the Public Storm Water Detention
Easement.

A PART OF LOT 1, PARKSIDE PROPER PLAT 1, AN OFFICIAL PLAT IN THE CITY OF WAUKEE,
DALLAS COUNTY, IOWA AND MORE PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED AS FOLLOWS:
BEGINNING AT THE SOUTHWEST CORNER OF SAID LOT 1, THENCE NORTH 00°14'00" EAST
ALONG THE WEST LINE OF SAID LOT 1, A DISTANCE OF 100.02 FEET; THENCE SOUTH 89°46'00"
EAST, 170.01 FEET; THENCE SOUTH 78°27'00" EAST, 148.88 FEET; THENCE SOUTH 00°15'51"
WEST, 70.80 FEET TO THE SOUTH LINE OF SAID LOT 1; THENCE NORTH 89°46'00" WEST ALONG
SAID SOUTH LINE, 315.96 FEET TO THE POINT OF BEGINNING AND CONTAINING 0.68 ACRES
(29,471 SQUARE FEET).
