AGENDA ITEM:Consideration of approval of a motion approving 12-month Class C
Retail Alcohol License with Outdoor Service and Catering privileges for
Central Standard Waukee, LLC, d/b/a Central Standard Waukee, LLC
[1222 SE University Avenue], pending fire marshal approval
FORMAT:Consent Agenda
SYNOPSIS INCLUDING PRO & CON: Due to issues with their dram insurance renewal,
Central Standard’s retail alcohol license was cancelled, effective
06/15/2026. As a result, Central Standard owners have applied for a
brand-new license to correct the error and have requested a special
meeting to approve that license. They cannot sell alcoholic beverages
until this new license is approved by the City, then the State.
FISCAL IMPACT INCLUDING COST/BENEFIT ANALYSIS:
COMMISSION/BOARD/COMMITTEE COMMENT:
STAFF REVIEW AND COMMENT: Police, Fire and Community Development Departments
have reviewed the application and find no reason to deny the permit at
this time, fire marshal approval.
RECOMMENDATION: Approve the application, pending fire marshal approval.
