WORK SESSION MEETING
May 19, 2026
The work session meeting of the Waukee City Council was called to order by Mayor Clarke at 3:03
p.m. at Waukee City Hall, 230 W. Hickman Rd.
The following members were present: Mayor Courtney Clarke; Council Members Kala Anderson,
Chris Crone, Rob Grove, Lori Lyon, Anna Bergman Pierce. Absent: None.
Also in attendance: City Administrator Brad Deets, Assistant City Administrator Nick Osborne, Lyle
Sumek with Lyle Sumek Associates, Inc.
Work Session: Goal setting and strategic planning for FY2027, final session — Mr. Sumek lead
the council through the final selection of top and high priority goals for the upcoming fiscal year.
