AGENDA ITEM:Consideration of approval of a resolution approving FY2027 funding
pursuant to a 28E Agreement with Mid-Iowa Health Foundation
FORMAT:Consent Agenda
SYNOPSIS INCLUDING PRO & CON: The City has a 28E agreement outlining certain
obligations of the City and Mid-Iowa Health Foundation. A resolution to
approve the funding amount approved in the budget for the upcoming
fiscal year must now be considered.
FISCAL IMPACT INCLUDING COST/BENEFIT ANALYSIS:$10,000.00

THE CITY OF WAUKEE, IOWA
RESOLUTION 2026-
APPROVING FY2027 FUNDING PURSUANT TO THE 28E AGREEMENT WITH
MID-IOWA HEALTH FOUNDATION
IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE, IOWA
WHEREAS, the City of Waukee, Dallas County, State of Iowa, is a duly organized Municipal
Organization; AND,
WHEREAS, the City has an existing 28E agreement with Mid-Iowa Health Foundation
(“Agency”) wherein the Agency will provide recommendations to the City regarding the most
cost-effective strategies to achieve the outcome of housing stability for low-income households
experiencing crisis in the Central Iowa Emergency Rental Assistance Study (“Project”) area;
AND,
WHEREAS, the Project will allow the City to learn the most effective length of time to provide
assistance to a low income household in crisis in order for that household to regain their
economic stability and to have a better understanding of the social and economic impact of
keeping people stably housed in Waukee.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that a contribution in the amount of $10,000.00 be
made to Mid-Iowa Health Foundation for fiscal year 2027 to be administered pursuant to the 28E
agreement with the Agency.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that payment shall be made upon receipt by the City of
Waukee of an invoice from Mid-Iowa Health Foundation for the amount designated herein and
that the City shall pay the Provider no sooner than July 1, 2026.
Passed by the City Council of the City of Waukee, Iowa, and approved this the 20th day of July,
2026.
