RESOLUTION 2020-027
AUTHORIZING LETTERS OF SUPPORT FOR PARAMOUNT DEVELOPMENT, INC.,
APPLICATIONS TO THE IOWA FINANCE AUTHORITY REGARDING
AFFORDABLE HOUSING PROGRAMS ASSISTANCE
IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE, IOWA
WHEREAS, the City of Waukee, Iowa is a duly organized municipality within Dallas County;
AND,
WHEREAS, the Waukee City Council received a request from Paramount Development, Inc.,
for letters of support for that company's applications to the Iowa Finance Authority's IFA
HOME Program for both a Waukee Rental Acquisition Project and Waukee Iowa Tenant -Based
Rental Assistance Program; AND,
WHEREAS, Paramount Development, Inc., proposes projects within the City of Waukee that
are designed to assist elderly residents and those who may require rental subsidies; AND,
WHEREAS, the Waukee City Council understands there is a need for quality, affordable
housing options in the community;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City of Waukee City Council in session this
20`h day of January, 2020, that it does hereby authorize letters of support for Paramount
Development, Inc., applications to the Iowa Finance Authority regarding affordable housing
programs assistance.
