AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND CHAPTER 500,SECTION 502.1,WAUKEE
MUNICIPAL CODE,TRAFFIC ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE,IOWA,TO
DELETE "FOURTH STREET SEE §502.4,"WHICH PROHIBITED PARKING ON BOTH
SIDES OF FOURTH STREET;AND INSERTING "FOURTH STREET"AFTER
"DOGWOOD LANE"IN §502.2;AND BY DELETING "FOURTH STREET"FROM §502.3;
AND FURTHER BY ADDING AS §502.4(A)(4)PARKING IS PERMITTED ON THE WEST
SIDE OF 4TH STREET FROM THE SOUTH LINE OF NORTHVIEW TO THE SOUTH
TERMINUS OF 4TH STREET AT THE NORTH EDGE OF THE CUL-DE-SAC.THE
PURPOSE OF THIS ORDINANCE IS TO PROHIBIT PARKING ON THE EAST SIDE OF
FOURTH STREET BETWEEN THE SOUTH LINE OF NORTHVIEW AND THE NORTH
EDGE OF THE CUL-DE-SAC THEREON.
BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Waukee:
Section 1.Chapter 500,Section 502.1,Waukee Municipal Code,Traffic
Ordinances ofthe City of Waukee,Iowa,is hereby amended by Deleting after "First
Street",the words,"Fourth Street:see §502.4".
Section 2.Chapter 502,Section 502.2 is amended by adding after the words,
"Dogwood Lane",the words,"Fourth Street".
Section 3.

Chapter 502,Section 502.3 is amended by deleting "Fourth Street"
Section 4.Chapter 502,Section 502.4(A)is amended by adding as Section
502.4(A)Parking is permitted on the West side of 4th Street from the South Line of
Northview to the South Terminus of 4th Street at the North edge ofthe Cul-de-sac.
Section 5.Repealer.All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict with the
provisions of this ordinance are hereby repealed.
Section 6.Severability Clause If any section,provision or part ofthis ordinance shall
be adjudged invalid or unconstitutional,such adjudication shall not affect the validity of the
ordinance as a whole or any section,provision,or part thereof not adjudged invalid or
unconstitutional.
Section 7.Effective Date This ordinance shall be in effect upon its final passage,
approval and publication as provided by law.
Passed by the City Council of the City of Waukee,Iowa,this 6th day of October 2003 and
approved this 6th day of October 2003.
