AN ORDlNANCE TO AMEND CHAPTER 502,SECTION 502.29,WAUKEE
MUNICIPAL CODE,PARKlNG REGULATIONS OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE,IOWA,
PENALTY,TO PROVIDE FOR AN lNCREASE IN THE PENALTY PER VIOLATION FROM
FIVE DOLLARS ($5.00)TO TEN DOLLARS ($10.00)BY DELETlNG THEREFROM "FIVE
DOLLARS ($5.00)"FROM §502.29(A)(1)AND lNSERTlNG IN LIEU THEREOF "TEN
DOLLARS ($10.00)"SO THAT SAID SECTION READS:"FOR EACH VIOLATION OF rms
CHAPTER,EXCLUDlNG A SCHEDULED VIOLATION THAT IS SUBJECT TO A FINE AS
PER STATE CODE,THE FINE SHALL BE TEN DOLLARS ($10.00)"

BE IT ORDAINED by the Council ofthe City of Waukee:
Section 1.Section 502.29(A)(1)of Chapter 502,Parking Regulations,Penalty,Waukee
Municipal Code,is hereby modified,by deleting therefrom "five dollars ($5.00)"and by inserting
in lieu thereof "ten dollars ($10.00)"so that Section 502.29(A)(1)reads as follows:
For each violation of this Chapter,excluding a scheduled violation
that is subject to a fine as per State Code,the fine shall be ten dollars
($10.00)
Section 2.Repealer.All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict with the provisions ]
of this ordinance are hereby repealed.
Section 3.Severabilitv Clause.If any section,provision or part of this ordinance shall be
adjudged invalid or unconstitutional,such adjudication shall not affect the validity of the ordinance
as a whole or any section,provision,or part thereof not adjudged invalid or unconstitutional.
Section 4.Effective Date.TIns ordinance shall be in effect upon its final passage,
approval and publication as provided by law.
Passed by the Council this 31'dday of November 2003,and approved this 3rd day of
November 2003.
