AN ORDINANCE TO ESTABLISH POLICY AS TO ADOPTION OF AN
"OFFICIAL POSITION",AND TO PROVIDE PROCEDURE FOR ADOPTION OF AN
"OFFICIAL POSITION"OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE,IOWA.
BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Waukee:
Section 1.The City of Waukee,Iowa,shall have no official
position on any issue of any kind or nature,unless and until such
official position shall have been established by ordinance of the
City of Waukee,Iowa,duly enacted and published as provided by
law,which shall,in said ordinance,describe the issue and
specifically set forth the position of the City of Waukee,as the
"Official position"of the City of Waukee,Iowa.
Section 2.Repealer.All ordinances or parts of ordinances
in conflict with the provisions of this ordinance are hereby
repealed.
Section 3.Severability Clause.If any section,provision
or part of this ordinance shall be adjudged invalid or unconstitu-
tional,such adjudication shall not affect the validity of the
ordinance as a whole or any section,provision,or part thereof not
adjudged invalid or unconstitutional.
Section 4.Effective Date.This ordinance shall be in effect
upon its final passage,approval and publication as provided by
law.
