AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER lOB OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES
OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE,IOWA,S10B.10,POWERS AND DUTIES OF THE FIRE
CHIEF,BY ADDING SUBPARAGRAPH J THEREOF TO ESTABLISH AUTHORITY TO
PURCHASE TO AMOUNTS NOT EXCEEDING $500.00.
Section 1.Amendment.Section 108 •10
Ordinances of the City of Waukee,Iowa,is hereby
thereto subparagraph J as follows:

J.The fire chief shall have the authority to
purchase items he or she deems necessary for
his or her department not to exceed $500.00 per
purchase for the administration of his or her
office,without prior council approval.
Section 2.Repealer.All ordinances or parts of ordinances
in conflict with the provisions of this ordinance are hereby
repealed.
Section 3.Severability Clause.If any section,provision
or part of this ordinance shall be adjudged invalid or unconstitu-
tional,such adjudication shall not affect the validity of the
ordinance as a whole or any section,provision,or part thereof not
adjudged invalid or unconstitutional.
Section 4.Effective Date.This ordinance shall be in effect
upon its final passage,approval and publication as provided by
law.
