RESOLUTION 2020-046
APPROVAL OF FY2021 MAXIMUM PROPERTY TAX DOLLARS
IN THE NAME AND BY THE A UTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WA UKEE, IOWA
WHEREAS, the City of Waukee, Dallas County, State of Iowa, is a duly organized Municipal
Organization; AND,
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Waukee have considered the proposed FY2021 City
maximum property tax dollars for the affected levy total; AND,
WHEREAS, a notice concerning the proposed City maximum property tax dollars was
published as required and posted on the City's website and social media account as applicable;
AND,
WHEREAS, a public hearing concerning the proposed City maximum property tax dollars was
held on Tuesday, February 4th 2020.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City of Waukee City Council in session this
0' day of February, 2020, that the maximum property tax dollars for the affected tax levies for
FY2021 shall not exceed the following total:
• Total maximum levy for affected property tax levies $10.18, or $11,841,174.
• The maximum property tax dollars requested, in the total maximum levy, for affected
property tax levies for FY2021 represent an increase of greater than 102% from the
maximum property tax dollars requested for current FY2020.
