A RESOLUTION STATING THE CITY OF WAUKEE'S INTENTION TO
ABANDON THE PEDESTRIAN ACCESS EASEMENT TO SONG BIRD
PARK,THROUGH LOTS 17 AND 18 OF CORENE ACRES PLAT 11.
WHEREAS,there exists a ten foot wide public pedestrian access easement through lots 17 and 18
of Corene Acres Plat 11,which leads to Song Bird Park;and
WHEREAS,there are no other viable alternatives at this time for providing access to this park;and
WHEREAS,it is the City's desire to keep Song Bird Park as a City Park;and
WHEREAS,the City'S long range plans have a bike path running along the easement now existing
for the University Avenue Trunk Sewer -an easement which eventually will provide access to Song
Bird Park.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED,that it is the intention of the Waukee City Council to
abandoned the easement through lots 17 and 18 of Corene Acres at such time the bike path easement
is obtained.
