A RESOLUTION SETTING A POLICY
WHEN RECONNECTION CHARGES ARE TO BE IMPOSED
WHEREAS,the City Council of the City of Waukee has established fees for the reconnection of
water and gas service;and
WHEREAS,customers of the City occasionally do not pay by the date due,thus receiving a shut off
notice which is posted on the service location,said posting which requires payment by 12:00 noon
the following day;
WHEREAS,customers ofthe city occasionally do pay by this deadline stated in the posting;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED,that said reconnection fees shall be charged if payment
is not received by 12:00 noon on the due date,regardless of said services having been shut off or not,
and if payment on the past due bill is received before the service(s)are actually shut off,the
disconnection shall continue,unless and until said connection fees are paid as well.
PASSED THIS TWENTY-SECOND DAY OF JANUARY,1996.
