RESOLUTION 02-46 I
APPROVING DEVELOPMENT AGREEMENT WITH JOE BRICK FOR
FUNDING THE LOCAL MATCH OF THE RISE FUNDED PROJECT IN THE
JOE BRICK BUSINESSIINDUSTRIAL PARK
IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE,IOWA
WHEREAS,The City of Waukee has been awarded funding under the local
development component of Revitalize Iowa's Sound Economy (RISE)program which
is meant to promote local economic development AND,
WHEREAS,RISE funds are only eligible to Iowa counties and communities AND,
WHEREAS,The City of Waukee will serve as the local governmental agency for
carrying out the provisions of the agreement with the Iowa Department of Transportation
(IDOT)as a condition to receiving the funding for improvements within the Joe Brick
Business/Industrial Park AND,
WHEREAS,The City shall be responsible for the development and completion ofthe
terms ofthe agreement as outlined in the RISE Funding Agreement No:2002-R-012
AND,]
WHEREAS,The Developer shall be responsible for the local matching portion ofthe
grant not to exceed $326,239 or 50%ofthe total project as identified by RISE Funding
Agreement No:2002-R-012.
NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED by the Waukee City Council in session this
18th day of March 2002,that it does hereby approve the development agreement with Joe
Brick for funding the local match of the RISE funded proj ect in the Joe Brick
Business/Industrial Park.
