RESOLUTION 02-48 I
APPROVING KIRKHAM MICHAEL CONSULTING AS ENGINEERS FOR
THE RISE FUNDED PROJECT IN THE JOE BRICK BUSINESSIINDUSTRIAL
PARK
IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE,IOWA
WHEREAS,The City of Waukee has been awarded funding under the local
development component of Revitalize Iowa's Sound Economy (RISE)program which
is meant to promote local economic development AND,
WHEREAS,The City of Waukee will serve as the local governmental agency for
carrying out the provisions of the agreement with the Iowa Department of Transportation
(IDOT)as a condition to receiving the funding for improvements within the Joe Brick
Business/Industrial Park AND,
WHEREAS,The City of Waukee shall be responsible for the development and
completion ofthe terms ofthe agreement as outlined in the RISE Funding Agreement
No:2002-R-012 AND,
WHEREAS,The City desires to retain Kirkham Michael Consulting for the professional
services outlined in the RISE Funding Agreement No:2002-R-012.
NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED by the City of Waukee City Council in
session this ts"day of March 2002,that it does hereby approve Kirkham Michael
Consulting,as engineers for the RISE funded project in the Joe Brick Business/Industrial
Park.
