RESOLUTION 02-47
APPROVING RISE FUNDING AGREEMENT WITH THE IOWA
DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORATION
IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE,IOWA
WHEREAS,The intent of the Revitalize Iowa's Sound Economy (RISE)program is to
promote economic development in Iowa through construction or improvement of roads
and streets AND,
WHEREAS,RISE funds are only eligible to Iowa counties and communities AND,
WHEREAS,The City of Waukee has been awarded funding under the local
development component of the RISE program which is meant to promote local
economic development AND,
WHEREAS,The City of Waukee agrees to serve as the local governmental agency for
carrying out the provisions of the agreement with the Iowa Department of Transportation
(IDOT)as a condition to receiving the funding for improvements within the Joe Brick
Business and Industrial Park AND,
WHEREAS,The City of Waukee shall be responsible for the development and
completion of the terms of the agreement as outlined in the RISE Funding Agreement
No:2002-R-012;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City of Waukee City Council in
session this 18'h day of March,2002 that it hereby approves the Agreement for RISE
Funding with the Iowa Department of Transportation,
