RESOLUTION 02-52
APPROVING PAYMENT OF HALF OF ALL ACCUMULATED SICK LEAVE
FOR ANN FORD WHO WAS EMPLOYED BY THE CITY FOR THIRTY YEARS
AND WHO IS ELIGIBLE TO COLLECT RETIREMENT BENEFITS
IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE,IOWA
WHEREAS,long term employees provide an intrinsic benefit to the City which is not
easily calculated in dollars and cents;AND,
WHEREAS,long term employees who have accumulated sick leave and who are not
taking that sick leave prior to retiring or leaving the employment of the City are once
again benefiting the City;AND,
WHEREAS,longevity and commendable attendance records are of value to the City and
are to be encouraged and rewarded.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City of Waukee City Council in
session this 18th day of March 2002 that it hereby approves payment of half of all
accumulated sick leave for Ann Ford who was employed by the City for thirty years and
who is eligible to collect retirement benefits.
