APPROVING PROPOSAL REQUEST #1 ADJUSTMENT TO THE PUBLIC
LIBRARY CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT IN THE AMOUNT OF $1,258.20 FOR
MISSING CONCRETE INTERIOR FOOTING
IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE,IOWA
WHEREAS,Rochon Corporation in its review and preliminary inspection ofthe project
discovered a section of missing interior footing;AND,
WHEREAS,adding the missing interior footing to the original contract increases the
contract time by one day and the contract amount by $1,258.00;AND,
WHEREAS,Korpela Engineering and FER have reviewed the proposal and agree that
the price is fair and reasonable;AND,
WHEREAS,City staff have also reviewed the proposal and agree that the missing
footing must be included in the construction of the library and that the price is fair and
the delay is reasonable.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City of Waukee City Council in
session this first day of April 2002 that it hereby approves Proposal Request #1
Adjustment to the Public Library Construction Contract in the amount of $1 ,25 8 .20 for
missing concrete interior footing.
