RESOLUTION 02-90
APPROVING UTILITY COMMITTEE RECOMMENDATION APPOINTING A
REPRESENTATIVE TO COMMITTEE STUDYING FEASIBILITY OF
ESTABLISIDNG A MUNICIPAL ELECTRIC UTILITY FOR WAUKEE
IN THE NAME AND BY THE A UTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE,IOWA
WHEREAS,a steering committee of the Iowa Association of Municipal Utilities is
planning a feasibility study to determine the practicality of Municipal Electric Power;
AND,
WHEREAS,the Utilities Committee of the City of Waukee is recommending that Jolm
Gibson be appointed as Waukee's representative to that planning committee;AND,
WHEREAS,the City of Waukee desires to pursue all avenues,which potentially could
decrease the cost of electricity and improve service to the citizens of Waukee.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City of Waukee City Conncil in
session this 3rd day of June 2002 that it hereby approves appointing Jolm Gibson as the
City's representative to the Iowa Association of Municipal Utilities steering committee
planning the feasibility study of establishing a municipal electric utility for Waukee.
