RESOLUTION 02-10
APPROVING THE IRS RATE OF MILEAGE REIMBURSEMENT AS THE
STANDARD FOR MILEAGE REIMBURSEMENT FOR THE CITY OF
WAUKEE
IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE,IOWA
WHEREAS,it is the policy of the City of Waukee to reimburse employees who use their
own automobile in the performance of an official duty AND,
WHEREAS,under §70A.9 of the Code ofIowa 2001,the reimbursable amount may be
any amount up to the maximum allowed under federal internal revenue service rules per
mile AND,
WHEREAS,the City of Waukee has customarily established a mileage reimbursement
rate that is consistent with the maximum allowed under IRS rules AND,
WHEREAS,the City of Waukee is now setting a policy which is consistent with past
actions and which standardizes the procedure for establishing the rate for mileage
reimbursement for employees using a private vehicle in the performance of official
duties.1
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City of Waukee City Council in
session this 21 st day of January 2002 that it hereby approves the IRS Rate of Mileage
Reimbursement as the standard for mileage reimbursement for the City of Waukee.
