RESOLUTION 02-21
APPROVING APPOINTMENT OF CITY REPRESENTATIVE TO SPECIAL CITY
DEVELOPMENT BOARD COMMITTEE FOR THE PUBLIC HEARING OF TI-IE
INVOLUNTARY ANNEXATION OF THE CHARLES SHAFFER PROPERTY AND
IDENTIFYING A MEETING ROOM TO HOLD THE PUBLIC HEARING
IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE,IOWA
WHEREAS,the City of Waukee has submitted an involuntary annexation petition for the
Charles Shaffer property to the City Development Board AND,
WHEREAS,the City Development Board has found no reason to dismiss the involuntary
annexation petition;AND,
WHEREAS,it is necessary for the City of Waukee to appoint a Waukee resident to serve as the
City's representative on the Special City Development Board Committee for the purpose of
reviewing the involuntary annexation petition for the Charles Shaffer property in a public
hearing;AND,
WHEREAS,the City of Waukee City Council agrees that David W.Clark oDl69 Waco Place
would represent the City competently and without a conflict of interest;AND,
WHEREAS,the City of Waukee has offered its Council Chambers as the meeting room in
which to hold the public hearing to consider this involuntary annexation petition.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City of Waukee City Council in session this
4th day of February 2002 that it hereby approves the appointment of David W.Clark,3169 Waco
Place as the city representative to the Special City Development Committee for the purpose of
reviewing the City of Waukee's involuntary annexation petition of the Charles Shaffer property
and approves the Council Chambers as the meeting room to hold such a public hearing.
