APPROVING THE PROPOSED BUDGET FOR FY2003 AND SETTING
FEBRUARY 21,2002 AS THE DATE OF PUBLICATION OF NOTICE OF
PUBLIC HEARING ON THE PROPOSED FY2003 BUDGET
IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE,IOWA
WHEREAS,the City of Waukee is a duly incorporated City within the County of Dallas
and the State ofIowa;AND,
WHEREAS,the State ofIowa has set March 15 as the date cities must submit a certified
budget to their respective county auditors;AND,
WHEREAS,the city council,after reviewing the proposed FY 2003 budget,finds the
FY2003 budget fiscally responsible and approves it for publication;AND,
WHEREAS,the city council has adopted March 4,2002 as the date for the public
hearing on the adoption ofthe final budget for FY2003 AND,
WHEREAS,publication date for the notice of the public hearing on the adoption ofthe
final budget for FY2003 must be set not more than 20 days nor less than 10 days prior to
the date approved for the public hearing.J
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City of Waukee City Council in
session this 11th day of February 2002 that it hereby approves the proposed budget for
fiscal year 2003 and sets February 21,2002 as the date of publication of notice of public
hearing on the proposed FY2003 budget.
