the Metropolitan Planning Organization for the surfacing of L.A.Grant Parkway/V
Avenue that portion which is not surfaced south from University Avenue to Ashworth
Road;AND
WHEREAS,the City of Waukee seeks to acquire funds through the Metropolitan
Planning Organization for the widening of University Avenue from 142nd Street to
Warrior lane;AND
WHEREAS,the City of Waukee and the City of West Des Moines will jointly
seek to acquire funds through the Metropolitan Planning Organization for the
construction of the Alice's Road/lOSth Street Interchange at Interstate 80;AND
WHEREAS,the City of Waukee will seek to acquire funds through the
Metropolitan Planning Organization for the construction of a multi-purpose trail located
on existing city right-of-way along the north edge of Southfork Woods and Southfork
subdivisions proceeding westerly to the northwest corner of Westgate Business Park;
NOW,THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED,that the City Council of Waukee,Iowa is
committed and does hereby approve funding the local match requirement as stated in the
applications submitted to the Metropolitan Planning Organization for FY 2005.1
