RESOLUTION 01-181 ),
APPROVING AMENDMENT TO AGREEMENT WITH VEENSTRA &KIMM,INC.
FOR DESIGN SERVICES OF DOWNTOWN REDEVELOPMENT
IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE,IOWA
WHEREAS,Veenstra &Kinnn,Inc.were selected to do the design and bidding of the first
phase ofthe Triangle redevelopment project AND,
WHEREAS,the downtown businesses have suggested that they would like to construct both the
300 and 400 blocks at the same time AND,
WHEREAS,a consensus is developing as to the type of improvements people would like to see
in the downtown area AND,
WHEREAS,Veenstra &Kimm,Inc.propose to amend the scope of their work to include a
design which would include the area from the north side of Ashworth Road to the north side of
Locust Street with associated paving,sidewalks,landscaping,lighting and water main
replacement AND,
1WHEREAS,the revised scope doubles the length of construction and the associated design
costs.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City of Waukee City Council in session this
1sr day of October,2001 that it hereby approves a payment of$19,500 for additional design
work to be completed by Veenstra &Kimm,Inc.on the Triangle Area Redevelopment Project.
