RESOLUTION 01-186
APPROVING THE ANNEXATION MORATORIUM AGREEMENT WITH THE
CITY OF WEST DES MOINES
IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE,IOWA
WHEREAS,both the City of Waukee and the City of West Des Moines have been
discussing the benefits of an annexation moratorium agreement for approximately one
year AND,
WHEREAS,the benefits of entering into an annexation moratorium are mutual to both
Cities and far outweigh the disadvantages AND,
WHEREAS,both the City of Waukee and the City of West Des Moines desire to enter
into tins agreement for a ten year period beginning with the last date of signing the
agreement AND,
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City of Waukee City Council in
session this is'"day of October,2001 that it hereby approves annexation moratorium
with the City of West Des Moines.
