RESOLUTION 01-187
APPROVING AGREEMENT WITH THE DES MOINES WATER WORKS TO
DESIGN,EDIT AND FACILITATE PRODUCTION OF A MONTHLY
NEWSLETTER FOR WAUKEE
IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE,IOWA
WHEREAS,the Water Board ("Des Moines Water Works")is a duly constituted utility
board under the laws of Iowa and as such manages and controls the water works system
serving the City of Des Moines,Iowa and surrounding communities AND,
WHEREAS,the City of Waukee is one of the communities receiving services from the
Des Moines Water Works AND,
WHEREAS,Des Moines Water Works has provided an additional service of designing,
editing,facilitating production of and distributing a monthly newsletter for the City of
Waukee which is an extension of the Water and Service Agreement dated August 9,1988
AND,
WHEREAS,the Des Moines Water Works and the City of Waukee desire to formalize
the additional monthly newsletter duties of the DMWW and to provide for payment
thereof;

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City of Waukee City Council in
session this 15th day of October,2001 that it hereby approves the agreement with the Des
Moines Water Works to design,edit and facilitate production of a monthly newsletter for
Waukee at a four hour base rate of$148.00 per month and an additional hourly rate of
$36.73 per hour above the base.
