RESOLUTION 01-198 I
APPROVING V &K,INC.AS ENGINEERS FOR NINE PROJECTS ON THE
URBAN RENEWAL CAPITAL IMPROVEMENTS LIST AS LISTED ON THE
RFP DATED SEPTEMBER 7,2001
IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE,IOWA
WHEREAS,design engineering request for proposals for nine proj ects on the Urban
Renewal Capital Improvements List were open to interested design firms AND,
WHEREAS,nine engineering firms submitted proposals for all or part of the projects
AND,
WHEREAS,four ofthe nine engineering firms submitted proposals for all nine projects
AND,
WHEREAS,Veenstra &Kimm,Inc.being one of the four submitting proposals for all
nine projects,being close to the low bid and significantly lower than the two higher bids
AND,
}WHEREAS,Veenstra &Kimm,Inc.has always provided a good service to Waukee and
will provide a quality product in the future;
NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED by the City of Waukee City Council in
session this 5th day of November 2001 that it does hereby approve Veenstra &Kimm,
Inc.as engineers for nine proj ects on the Urban Renewal Capital Improvements List as
listed on the RFP dated September 7,2001.
