Approving Detailed List and Specifications,Notice of Hearing,Notice to
Bidders and Form of Contract;and Setting Date for Heating thereon and
the Receipt of Bids therefore for Library Furnishings Package #2
WHEREAS,this Council has approved the construction and furnishing of the
Waukee Public Library;and
WHEREAS,detailed fnrniture list and specifications,notice of hearing and notice
to bidders and form of contract -Furnishings Package #2 -have been prepared and filed
by FEH Associates for such project and have been examined by this Council;and
WHEREAS,it is necessary to fix a time and place of public hearing on the
proposed fumishings and f'orm 0 f contract and estimate 0 f cost for the Public Library
Fumishings and to advertise for sealed bids for the Public Library Furnishings;
NOW,THEREFORE,Be It Resolved by the City Council of the City of Waukee,
Iowa,as follows:
Section 1.The detailed furniture list and specifications,notice of hearing and
notice to bidders and form of contract and estimate of cost -Furnishings Package #2 -
referred to in the preamble hereof are hereby approved.
Section 2.The amount of the bid security to accompany each bid is hereby
fixed at 10%of the amount of the proposal
Section 3.The City Council hereby delegates to the City Clerk the duty of
receiving,opening and tabulating the bids for the construction of the Project,on the
twenty-eighth (28th)day of February 2003,at 1:00 o'clock p.m.,at the office of the City
Clerk at the Waukee City Hall,230 Highway 6,Waukee,Iowa 50263.The third (3fd)day
of March 2003 at 7:00 o'clock p.m.,at the Council Chambers,City Hall,Waukee,Iowa,
is hereby fixed as the time and place of hearing on the proposed furnishings list,
specifications,form of contract and estimate of cost for the Public Library Furnishings -,
and also as the time and place of considering bids received by the City Clerk in
connection therewith.
Section 4.The City Clerk shall publish notice of healing and notice to
bidders,the same being in the form hereinabove approved and substantially as attached to
this resolution,which publication shall be made in a legal newspaper of general
circulation in the City,which publication shall be not less than 4 days nor more than 20
days before the date set for hearing and receiving such bids.
Section 5.All resolutions or parts of resolutions 111 conflict herewith are
hereby repealed,to the extent of such conflict.
