RESOLUTION 04-22
APPROVING MARCH 1,2004 AS THE DATE FOR A PUBLIC HEARING ON
THE PROPOSED FY200S BUDGET
IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE,IOWA
WHEREAS,the City of Waukee began the review of budgetary needs for FY05 in
December 2003 with a budget workshop for department heads and council;AND,
WHEREAS,the proposed FY05 budget in December showed expenditures of
$3,377,348 and revenue of $3,045,043;AND,
WHEREAS,since the meeting in December,city department heads and the city
administrator worked together to propose a budget in which expenditures have been
reduced by $300,571 and revenues,after a reduction of $18,000,have been increased by
a transfer of $50,000 from the General Fund Balance;AND,
WHEREAS,the proposed FY05 budget now thoroughly reviewed by the Waukee City
Council is ready to be presented for public scrutiny and review.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City of Waukee City Council in
session this 26th day of January 2004 that it hereby approves setting March 1,2004 as the
date for public hearing on the proposed fiscal year 2005 budget
