APPROVING CHAMBER OF COMMERCE FALL FESTIVAL TO BE HELD
SEPTEMBER 27,2003
IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE,IOWA
WHEREAS,each year members of the Waukee Chamber of Commerce promote,
manage and produce the Fall Festival,putting in as many as 60 to 120 hours in
preparation;AND,
WHEREAS,the original intent was to celebrate the season of harvesting -the fruits of
our labor -as a community of urban and rural dwellers;AND,
WHEREAS,through the past thirteen years the celebration has grown and changed
remaining not only a festival of harvest but also a festival showcasing our development,
celebrating the growth of community during another year;AND,
WHEREAS,the Chamber of Commerce is requesting support and approval from the
City of Waukee for this year's Fall Festival which is to be celebrated on September 27,
2003.INOWTHEREFOREBEITRESOLVEDbytheCityofWaukeeCityCouncilin
session this 8th day of September 2003 that it hereby approves and supports the Chamber
of Commerce Fall Festival to be held September 27,2003.o~
