THE CITY OF WAUKEE,IOWA
APPROVING CHANGE IN THE MINIMUM FEES FOR INSTALLATION OF
WATER METERS ON NEW CONSTRUCTION
IN THE NAME AND BY THE A UTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE,IOWA
WHEREAS,previous charges for installed water meters dating from April,1998 ranged
from $166.00 to $550.00;AND,
WHEREAS,the Water Department wishes to upgrade its meter reading system to take
advantage of the latest technology by changing to a radio read system instead of the touch
read system currently in use;AND,
WHEREAS,the cost of this change increases the price of each meter to the builders by
the following rates:
$298.00 I"Meter with MXU Unit
$607.00 1Yz"Meter with MXU Unit
$762.00 1Yz"Turbo Meter with MXU Unit
$848.00 2"Turbo Meter with MXU Unit
$1,463.00 2"Compound Meter with MXU Unit
All meters over 2"will include cost of meter plus materials and labor.1
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City of Waukee City Council in
session tlris 8th day of September 2003 that it hereby approves the change in minimum
fees for installation of water meters on new construction.
