RESOLUTION 03-198
APPROVING SUPPORT FOR WAUKEE PUBLIC LIBRARY
BOARD OF TRUSTEES AGREEMENT WITH DALLAS COUNTY TO
PROVIDE SERVICE TO ALL RESIDENTS OF THE
UNINCORPORATED AREAS OF DALLAS COUNTY
IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE,IOWA
WHEREAS,on September 9,2003,the Library Board of Trustees agreed to provide
services to rural residents of Dallas County in exchange for remuneration based on a
distribution plan adopted by the Dallas County Library Association;AND,
WHEREAS,Dallas County will contribute the funds collected by the county pursuant to
tax levy upon the unincorporated areas of the county to participating libraries to be used
for the purchase of materials and equipment and to provide for additional service;AND,
WHEREAS,this agreement shall be for the period of July 1,2003 through June 30,2004
and shall continue from year to year thereafter;AND,
WHEREAS,the total funds to be allocated annually commencing July I of anyone year
will vary from year to year;AND,
WHEREAS,the allocation to be received by the Waukee Public Library for the FY2004
is $9,049.86.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City of Waukee City Council in
session this nnd day of September 2003 that it hereby approves support for the Waukee
Public Library Board of Trustees Agreement with Dallas County Board of Supervisors to
provide service to all residents of the unincorporated areas of Dallas County.
