RESOLUTION 03-212
APPROVING AND SUPPORTING LOW INCOME HOUSING TAX CREDIT
APPLICATION FOR CONLIN PROPERTIES,INC.
IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE,IOWA
WHEREAS,the City of Waukee,Iowa,has been informed by James C.Conlin that a low
income housing tax credit application will be filed with the Iowa Finance Authority for the
development of affordable rental housing to be located at 15 SE Windfield Parkway,with a legal
description of:
Lot 5,Windfield Multi-Family Plat 2,an Official Plat,Waukee,
Dallas County,Iowa;AND,
WHEREAS,this housing project will contain 24 units;AND,
WHEREAS,the units will be targeted to families;AND,
WHEREAS,the project will be new construction;AND,
WHEREAS,the property will have the following amenities:
Commercial Playground completed in the first phase and a
Computer Center and Community Room completed in the
second phase;AND,
WHEREAS,Conlin Properties,Inc.has been notified that approval ofthis project shall include
construction plans for installation of curb and gutter and widening Warrior Lane which lies
immediately to the west of the Windfield West Apartments.Such improvements will be
considered at such time as this development comes before tile council for site plan approval.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City of Waukee City Council in session this
3'd day of November 2003 that it hereby supports and approves the development of the aforesaid
housing in our community,subject to city ordinances and the building permit process.
This resolution is effective until 05-21-04.In the event that any ofthe characteristics mentioned
above should change prior to the issuance of a buildi~ennit,tlus res~nd void.
