RESOLUTION 03-216
APPROVING IA DOT AGREEMENT FOR FEDERAL-AID SURFACE
TRANSPORTATION PROGRAM (STP)AWARDED BY THE MPO FOR THE
UNIVERSITY AVENUE WIDENING PROJECT;
HIGHWAY PLANNING AND CONSTRUCTION,CFDA #20.205
IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE,IOWA
WHEREAS,the Metropolitan Planning Organization (MFO)awarded the City of Waukee a
total of one million thirty thousand six hundred ninety-five dollars for the University Avenue
Widening Project,(Waco Place (98th Street)to 142nd Street)from the Federal-Aid Surface
Transportation Program (STP);AND,
WHEREAS,the Federal-Aid Surface Transportation Program (STP)in Iowa is administered
through the IA Department of Transportation (DOT);AND,
WHEREAS,the City of Waukee shall enter into an agreement with the IA DOT for the purpose
of financing transportation improvement projects on streets and highways in Iowa with Federal
funds;AND,
WHEREAS,the City of Waukee shall take the necessary actions to comply with applicable
State and Federal laws and regulations when receiving Federal funds and completing this project.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City of Waukee City Council in session this
3"d day of November 2003 that it hereby approves the IA DOT Agreement for Federal-Aid
Surface Transportation Program (STP)for the University Avenue Widening Project;Highway
Planning and Construction,CFDA #20.205.
