RESOLUTION 03-123
APPROVING THE PURCHASE OF A WALK BEHIND TRENCHERIPLOW
FROM MIDWEST UNDERGROUND SUPPLY IN THE AMOUNT OF $21,500.
IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE,IOWA
WHEREAS,the City of Waukee,Dallas County,State oflowa,is a duly organized
Municipal Organization;AND,
WHEREAS,the Gas Department has limited space in front yards,and the purchase will
result in a cost savings in labor due to less restoration to yards;AND,
WHEREAS,staff has demonstrated both the Case brand and the Ditch Witch brand of
trencher/plow and find the Case brand to be more operator friendly,safer,and comes
with a 3 year warranty versus the alternative 2 year warranty;and
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Waukee,
Iowa approve the purchase of a walk behind trencher/plow form Midwest Underground
Supply in the amount of $21,500.
Passed by the City Council of the City of Waukee,Iowa,and approved the 2nd day of
June 2003.
