THE CITY OF WAUKEE,IOWA
APPROVING SUBMITTAL OF INTERCHANGE JUSTIFICATION REPORT
INTHENAMEANDBYTHEAUTHORITYOFTHECITYOFWAUKEE,IOWA
WHEREAS,the City of Waukee has been actively pursuing construction of an interstate
interchange at Alice's Road;AND,
WHEREAS,the proposed interchange will provide a significant benefit to the City of
Waukee;AND,
WHEREAS,an Interchange Justification Report (UR)has been prepared and submitted
to the Des Moines Area Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO);AND,
WHEREAS,City support for the IJR is necessary for consideration of the IJR by the
MFO,
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City of Waukee City Council in
session this 7th day of July,2003 that it hereby endorses the IJR as currently drafted,
requests MFO concurrence and approval of the IJR,and requests that the MFO forward
the approved IJR to the Iowa Department of Transportation at its earliest convenience.
