APPROVING CHANGE ORDER 2 FOR COMMUNICATIONS TECHNOLOGY,
INC.BY ADDING ALTERNATE 2 TO THE HICKMAN ROAD ARTERIAL
STREET LIGHTING PROJECT
INTHENAMEANDBYTHEAUTHORITYOFTHECITYOFWAUKEE,lOWA
WHEREAS,the original proposal presented by Communications Technology,Inc.to
install wiring and bases for light poles to be installed on Hickman Road from the Clive /
Waukee border to Fourth Street was bid at $98,356.00;AND,
WHEREAS,to replace the wood pole lights currently installed between Fourth Street
and Tenth Street at an additional $7,550.00 would be at a fraction of the cost of bidding
the project at a later date;AND,
WHEREAS,City staff are satisfied with the installation of the wiring and bases by
Communications Technology,Inc.and are confident that the additional six handholes
would be installed with the same care and professionalism.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City of Waukee City Council in
session this 7'h day of July 2003 that it hereby approves Change Order 2 for
Communications Technology,Inc.which is to add Alternate 2,the installation of wiring,
conduit and handholes for six locations between loth and 4th Street.
