RESOLUTION 03-160
APPROVING VEENSTRA &KIMM,INC.PROPOSAL FOR SEWER SERVICE AREA
STUDY FOR THE AREA SOUTH OF UNIVERSITY AVENUE,WEST OF L.A.GRANT
PKWY AND NORTH OF 312TH PLACE
IN THE NAME AND BY THE A UTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WA UKEE,IOWA
WHEREAS,the City of Waukee continues to grow in all directions;AND,
WHEREAS,City staff have projected the possibility of growth occurring in the area directly
South of University Ave,West of L.A.Grant Pkwy and North of 312th Place;AND,
WHEREAS,to prepare for and to promote the growth of this area,a sanitary sewer extension
survey has been requested of the City Engineers so as to identify the sanitary sewer service area,
the location and need for pump stations,preliminary pipe sizes and project cost estimates;AND,
WHEREAS,Veenstra &Kimm,Inc.have submitted a proposal to accomplish these tasks and to
provide the City with up to 20 color maps showing the sanitary sewer service boundary and
proposed sanitary sewer route;AND,
WHEREAS,due to questions regarding sanitary sewer service for this area from prospective
developers,City Staff recommend the approval of this resolution.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City of Waukee City Council in session this
2l't day of July 2003 that it hereby approves Veenstra &Kimm,Inc.proposal for Sewer Service
Area Study for the area South of University Ave,West ofL.A.Grant Pkwy and North of3l2'h
Place.
