APPROVING THE RECOGNITION OF THE ACCOMPLISHMENTS OF
FORMER COUNCILMAN WAYNE JOHNSON
WHEREAS,this enthusiasm,drive,investigative thinking,and logical reasoning was the
halhnark of a person who deeply cared -cares -about the citizens and community of
Waukee.I
INTHENAMEANDBYTHEAUTHORITYOFTHECITYOFWAUKEE,IOWA
WHEREAS,Wayne Johnson served on the Park Board before taking his seat on the
Council;AND,
WHEREAS,Wayne's enthusiasm and drive for the activities of the Park Board were
contagious and provided an excellent role model for all citizens;AND,
WHEREAS,Wayne's enthusiasm and commitment to excellence carried over to all
council activities and to all council assignments;AND,
WHEREAS,Wayne could always be counted on to reason through a problem,view it
from all perspectives,agree and disagree with his fellow councihnen,and vote from the
convictions of his heart.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City of Waukee City Council in
session this 7'h day of April 2003 that it hereby approves the recognition of Wayne
Johnson and thanks him for the contributions he has made to the City of Waukee.
